Free Throw at X-Ray Arcade

BY CARRIE BERGAN

Free Throw hit the road with Slow Joy this last week and stopped by the legendary X-Ray Arcade in Cudahy, Wisconsin on a Tuesday night for a SOLD OUT show. Local band, Excuse Me Who Are You? (EMWAY?) started off the night getting the crowd warmed up for the big night of music ahead. Everyone was hyped from the start with high energy, screaming along to every single song.

EMWAY? featured some friends on stage and got that pit opened, the sweat running. They were unstoppable and the fans were there for them. Even those who had never heard of the band could be seen enjoying their music. Their lead singer, Kyle, ended their set by slowly and cautiously stage diving to crowdsurf for part of the song. He went so hard that he was surprised upon his arrival back to stage that he had accidentally unplugged his microphone. But, even being their last song, he did not let that slow them down and quickly got the mic back, ending the last track strong.

Slow Joy hit the stage next on the lineup. Their music was catchy and jumpy, keeping the crowd moving and grooving to the beat. Despite their name, they were not slow, nor did they slow the good vibes down at all.

And last but not least, Free Throw. Free Throw had a secret special that night - Tades from Hot Mulligan made an appearance on stage for one of their songs and every single phone was raised to catch that moment. It was definitely a must see moment. Free Throw put on a killer show and there were stage divers and crowd surfers going on during their set. A little air traffic happened, but it was managed. The crowd had fun and screamed along to every song. It was a very good Tuesday night in Wisconsin for everyone who showed up.
