Kele @ The O2 Academy Oxford

On February 21st, 2025, Kele Okereke, the renowned frontman of English rock band, Bloc Party, delivered an electrifying performance at the O2 Academy Oxford. The event was part of his "The Singing Winds Pt. 3" tour, promoting the third installment of his solo album series, "The Elements.” The evening commenced with a captivating opening set by Kymara, a rising star in the soul and blues scene. Kymara's performance set a beautiful tone for the night, showcasing her powerful vocals and emotive songwriting with a delicate acoustic set. Her setlist included tracks from her debut EP, resonating deeply with the audience and earning enthusiastic applause.

Kele kicked off his set with “It Wasn’t Meant To Be”, where attendees were treated to his signature fusion of indie rock and electronic sounds. Kele's setlist masterfully blended tracks from his latest album with fan favorites from his previous solo works. The intimate setting of the second stage at the O2 Academy, with its 436-person capacity, provided those in attendance with an up-close experience, enhancing the connection between Kele and his fans.

Throughout the performance, Kele's dynamic stage presence and vocal prowess captivated the audience. The energy in the room was palpable, with concertgoers responding enthusiastically to both new material and classic hits. The venue's acoustics complemented the intricate layers of Kele's music, ensuring a memorable auditory experience. Kele’s solo tour concluded the following evening in Brighton before going back on tour with Bloc Party in May.
