Ocean Alley: Beach Vibes Meet London Streets

The atmosphere at Roundhouse in London was charged with anticipation as Australian band Ocean Alley took the stage on September 21st. The beautiful venue provided the perfect setting and atmosphere for the band’s incredible performance, standing out with their memorable blend of psychedelic-surf-rock, infectious melodies, and groovy bass lines. The opening acts Crystal Tides and Hockey Dad set the tone for the night, warming up the crowd with their high-energy performances and leaving everyone eager for more. When Ocean Alley kicked off their set with their song “Touch Back Down”, a song from their most recent album, the crowd cheered, singing along to every word.
The band’s mix of genres, transitioning seamlessly from surfer rock to reggae-infused jams, creates a unique sound that has earned them a dedicated fanbase. Frontman Baden Donegal’s smooth vocals captivated the crowd, as the audience enthusiastically joined in, dancing and singing along to every word throughout the night. The setlist, ranging from their signature hits to newer songs, showcased their versatility and range. One highlight of the night was their performance of ‘Confidence’, their biggest hit to date, which had the crowd go wild.
When the evening ended, the audience was still buzzing as they left the venue after experiencing the band’s first night at Roundhouse. Overall, Ocean Alley’s energy and talent on stage were undeniable. Their energetic performance, soulful vocals, and laidback vibe made for a night to remember that shouldn’t be missed.
